Government
In accordance with the 1934 Indian Reorganization Act and in preparation for the tribe to file for federal recognition with The Bureau of Indian Affairs, the Whitetop Nation moved beyond clanship governance in 2023 and formed a republican form of government that honors our ancestors’ past by keeping traditions alive within the government structure and recognizing the assimilation into the American culture from the 1700s through today.
